Computer perimetry is used to determine the visual field in various diseases and changes in the optic nerve.

The only examination that confirms the diagnosis of Glaucoma, in the presence of changes in visual field results.

There are other diseases in which the visual field is used diagnostically, such as ophthalmological (retinitis pigmentosa, macular changes, optic neuritis, papillitis) and or for monitoring intracranial conditions that cause compression of the visual pathways.
